There are single-stall restrooms, gender neutral and with changing tables, on every floor of the museum! On Level G, there is one right by the elevators. On Level 1, look in the lobby/foyer. On Level 2, there is one by the Discovery Center and one by the entrance of the Bird Hall.
You have to have general museum admission. As of writing, it is free for L.A. residents from 3-5pm on weekdays. Ask for other discounts, as there are many.
