- Is the free meter actually private?
- Yes. Your voice is analyzed in your browser and never uploaded or stored. There is no account and no recording. Close the tab and it's gone.
- Do I need an account?
- No. The live pitch meter is open to anyone, free. An account is for the full Voice Lab, which adds the AI coach, transcripts, deeper analysis, and progress over time. That part is opening soon.
- Is the coach read at the end real?
- It's a genuine read of the take you just did, written in the coach's voice and keyed to your own numbers, all in your browser. The live coach that listens and responds back and forth is part of the full Voice Lab, almost here.
- Is the session demo on this page real?
- It's a scripted illustration, labelled that way on the card. The page plays a fixed exchange written in the live coach's voice. No audio plays, no AI runs, and it isn't a recording of anyone. The live coach it previews is part of the full Voice Lab.
- Why is there no resonance number?
- The in-browser resonance estimate is rough, so we show it as a feel rather than a figure you might anchor on. The precise formant analysis is part of the full Voice Lab.
- Can I use this to analyze my voice?
- Yes. The free meter analyzes your pitch live in the browser, showing your median, your range, and how your melody moves, with a coach's read at the end. Praat-grade resonance and formant analysis is part of the full Voice Lab.
- Is this medical care or speech therapy?
- No. It is a practice tool with live feedback, not a replacement for a speech-language pathologist. If you work with one, you are welcome to use this alongside their guidance.
- Who is it for?
- Trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive people, at any stage and on or off HRT, and anyone curious about their voice. You can explore toward a higher, lower, or more balanced sound, or just watch your pitch with no target at all.
- What browsers and devices work?
- Recent Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari (iOS 17 and newer). It needs microphone permission. On some phones the reading can be a little less precise.
